Karen Dictionary (Windows)
Download The Karen Dictionary 1.5.0.zip, extract it, and run either the Portable or Installer version on Windows.

Download the ZIP: The Karen Dictionary 1.5.0.zip

Open your Downloads folder and locate The Karen Dictionary 1.5.0.zip.

Right-click the ZIP and choose “Extract All…”, then click “Extract”.

Open the extracted folder to see both the Portable and Installer files.
After extracting, you will see two files:
• The Karen Dictionary_Portable_1.5.0.exe (no installation; run directly)
• The Karen Dictionary_Installer_1.5.0_x64-setup.exe (guided setup; adds Start Menu entry)
Use the Portable App

Double-click The Karen Dictionary_Portable_1.5.0.exe.

If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway.

The app opens immediately—no installation required.
Install the App (Recommended)

Double-click The Karen Dictionary_Installer_1.5.0_x64-setup.exe.

Follow the setup wizard (Next → Install). You may need administrator permission.

Launch from Start Menu: “The Karen Dictionary”.
Troubleshooting
- ZIP blocked by Windows: Right-click the ZIP → Properties → check Unblock (if present) → Apply → Extract again.
- SmartScreen warning: Click More info → Run anyway.
- Permission issues: Right-click the EXE → Run as administrator.
- Antivirus flags: Add to allowlist/“trusted”, or temporarily disable during first run.
